Congratulations to Angel De Souza from the Class of 2013 at Deerfield Beach High School for winning the James Suh Memorial Scholarship. She was chosen for this award based on her GPA, strength of classes, extra curricular activities, community service, letters of recommendation, educational goals and interest in serving in the military. The James Suh Memorial Scholarship was formed to remember Navy SEAL James Erik Suh (Sung Suh), who graduated from Deerfield High in 1995 and the University of Florida in 1999, and was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2005. This scholarship for $1,000 was founded by Dr. Brian Rask in conjunction with the Pompano Beach Exchange Club.
