Veneers, Crowns & Bridges can repair chipped, broken, stained, decayed, rotated, or missing teeth.
A veneer is a thin piece of porcelain that is bonded on to the front surface of your tooth and it is able to conceal stained, chipped, worn, crowded, spaced, or misshapen teeth. The nice thing about veneers is that very minimal tooth preparation is required, they are very natural looking, and they do not stain over time like composite restorations.
A crown can be made from all porcelain, porcelain fused to metal, or full metal, such as gold. The application the crown will be used for determines its material. Crowns can be used in the same cases as veneers and also to protect cracked and broken teeth, teeth with fillings that are too large to replace, and teeth that have been treated by root canals. Porcelain crowns look very esthetic, whereas gold crowns last the longest and wear the best.
A bridge is used to replace a missing tooth or teeth. It is permanently cemented in your mouth and can be as small as two teeth, or up to the whole arch. Bridges are made out of the same materials as crowns and are great options if you want something that stays in your mouth as opposed to a partial denture.
